AutoHarvest Foundation Update - August 2013

Our August newsletter brings more exciting news, powerful smart tools and a new initiative to help advance manufacturing commercialization. The AutoHarvest team is delighted to announce the new National Supply Chain Network Initiative (NSNI), launched at the Clinton Global Initiative Foundation's May gathering. With our partners - GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Connect, the Connectory, The Hudson Valley Technology Development Center and Center for Economic Growth - we will endeavor to create a national collaboration announced to build a more robust US supply chain and strengthen the US manufacturing base (press release).

Innovation Hub members have expanded the array of databases and software applications to help innovators and commercializers accelerate product development. New offerings from ktMINE and our updated contextually searchable SBIR/STTR database are discussed below. The quest to develop and commercialize advanced materials is a major thrust for manufacturers, and we are very pleased to feature an early stage innovator, NanoSteel, internationally recognized EWI (Edision Welding Institute) and Sandia National Laboratory as resources for new lightweight materials, joining techniques and testing. Sensor technologies being offered by Arizona Science and Technology Enterprises and Mutual Mobile’s connectivity platforms are especially interesting and relevant to many AutoHarvest members.

We want to see you! Please look for our exhibit booth at several industry events this fall.
