APRIL 2015 UPDATE

Technology transfer continues to drive advanced manufacturing innovation through new global partnerships amid concerns about securing intellectual property rights in a dynamic legal landscape. We feature three companies financed by the Department of Homeland Security's Small Business Innovative Research Grant program that excel in different facets of cybersecurity and have applications in adjacent markets, such as transportation. Several years ago, the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy acknowledged our leadership in helping SMEs as we were the first to integrate into a contextually searchable database today's 89,000 SBIR awardees, available at no cost to the public. Members would do well to search the refreshed database and reach out to a subset of the thousands of America's best and brightest technology companies and explore opportunities. We selected companies for presentations in Asia to help SMEs gain new partners. Every month our I-Hub members offer relevant reports, blog entries and video presentations highlighting how the technology marketplace operates to obtain IP, monetize assets and protect and maximize value. New events have been added to our event roster for 2015 offering in depth information and discussion on innovation, technology transfer and IP value.
