Who would ever think it would take all those buildings at the CES Show in Las Vegas and NAIAS in Detroit to showcase this year’s new innovations? Amazing to meet the people and hear thousands of energized voices improving our lives in mobility, smart home, health and much more. I had my favorites. I saw robots pretending to be parents, eye gaze activated wheelchairs, helmets to protect the Last Mile and a smart wrist band to keep connected festival party goers. What I did not see was hesitation as the global innovation quest took a victory lap and consumers can expect to test drive exciting new things in 2019.

This month’s featured members are providing important safety tools to protect you as a rideshare driver, increase your bottom line with software to turn mobility assets into revenue and most importantly, protect your head as you peddle, scooter or e-bike: this weekend the news reported (JAMA Network Open) that over 2 years Southern California e-scooter accidents requiring emergency room attention only had 4% wearing helmets. Let’s change that- Lumos Helmet was a hit at the NAIAS as over 100+ folks loved test riding, with the intelligent helmet, the design award winning Halo City, smarter e-scooter.
