JULY 2018 UPDATE

Startups are experiencing a faster cycle of showcase events, financial pitch forums, prize contests, award challenges and partnering meetups as the in-flux transportation industry escalates valuation amid nontraditional competition for “new tech”. After all, transportation is just one part of the mega trend for the “smart-city” paradigm redrawing boundaries. This is a favorable trend for our members, especially this month’s featured software companies working to refine man-machine interaction to allow trusted hand-offs. Some old enough to remember are nervously recalling the 2008 “perfect storm” wondering if the waves between the USA and its trading partners might impact the faster cycle favoring external innovation and emerging startups.
