JANUARY 2016 UPDATE

Consider the impact of market events on innovation this past month: the game-changing electric, connected and autonomous car technology advances shown at NAIAS (Detroit Auto Show) and CES, coupled with the U.S. government’s $4 billion investment to make autonomous a reality. This seems like a moonshot safely landed in our backyard. Add in the fast-moving headwinds of low oil prices and China’s New Normal, and then the picture clouds. Where will financing materialize today to develop the new energy and transportation products envisioned by the Paris Accords? Many look to new business models and creative collaborations. This is why the AutoHarvest ecosystem exists: to provide unbridled access to diverse global technology partners.

This month, we highlight unique services provided by the United States Patent and Trademark Office which help innovators secure patents around the world. Also, we are showcasing two innovators advancing nanomaterials and acoustic materials that deliver higher efficiencies.

The I-Hub helps our members obtain essential knowledge to transact IP and evolve next-tech products with landscaping and management software, unique databases, government resources, in-the-pulse blogs and videos of innovation leaders. 2016 has already scheduled over 30 industry events, and we will support and organize an “Innovation Forum” for the Automotive Manufacturing Meetings and moderate a panel for the IP in the Auto Industry conferences, both venues in the Detroit Innovation District.

As always, we invite all readers to join our intellectual property marketplace, free of charge, and engage the community. Join and get One-Click-Closer® to being our next success story.
